Como entender uma escola secreta? Sim! O termo secreto é correto, pois Luiz Bonfá ministrava a muito poucos músicos, algumas descobertas revolucionárias a cerca da técnica violonística e da fonte de sua própria composição. Através de manuscritos musicais e das partituras de ambos os Bonfá pode-se entender a maneira romântica e ecológica, concebidas como fundamento e dos elementos de iniciação à esta secreta escola de violão. Entretanto, uma escola sem misticismo, a não ser pelo deslumbramento mágico e constante sobre a natureza pelos Bonfá.
Estudou Teoria e Solfejo com a Maestrina Aída Gnatali (irmã do Maestro Radamés Gnatali), técnicas de Violão e Harmonia com o Maestro Luiz Cláudio Ramos, Harmonia e Arranjo no CC-Berklee College of Music. Técnicas Vocais com o Tenor Eládio Perez Gonzalez e concluiu Orquestração e Regência com o Maestro Alberto Arantes do Nascimento, sendo esta a bagagem que Tavynho Bonfá sintetiza em sua música incidental e popular, em gravações e apresentações artísticas.
Tavynho Bonfá é um músico solista com a ousadia de inovar sempre, com a coragem de renascer em um mercado plenamente saturado, seu repertório instrumental e vocal contém músicas bem conhecidas de todos, e também músicas originais jamais escutadas. O recital é do estilo Bossanova, MPB e Jazz.

Tavynho Bonfa presents for us in his presentations, all the result of the wonderful musical influence of his uncle, the famous composer and guitarist Luiz Bonfá.
